A thrilling game which ended 4-5 with great goals from both teams. Jeevan Panesar, Nathan Minhas, Amarvir Sandhu and Sufiyan Zia were on the scoresheet for us. Thanks again to Yorkshire International Football Association!
The manager’s thoughts – “The lads did well today and created a lot of chances which is something the fans will enjoy I’m sure.
We conceded some sloppy goals and a few from set pieces. So we know what we need to work on defensively. That side is very important so we can set our foundations in games which will allow us to build momentum and dominate games. It’s something that we can reiterate from the sidelines as well.
Whereas the attacking side often happens quickly and you need players to create individually and be brave on the ball. That is something I was very pleased with in terms of our creativity in the final third with a new front line.
The most pleasing thing was some individual performances proved that there are lads here who deserve to play much higher up and be given a chance to prove themselves!
We at Panjab FA will work hard to create the opportunities for them & any support is always appreciated.
Yorkshire have had close games against teams that we’ve had good encounters with as well, so we knew they would be of a good standard. In this game we only had 6 players that were in the CONIFA Football World Cup squad, so it was great to see new players come in and give it their all. They applied themselves well and it gives more depth to our squad.”
